Review Check privacy policy

Review Check is a browser extension that grades how trustworthy the reviews on an Amazon product page look. This page explains exactly what it collects. Short version: it reads the reviews on the product page you open, sends them for analysis, and does not track you, your browsing or your identity.
What the extension reads
Only on Amazon product pages (amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it and .es), and only the parts needed to score the reviews:
- The product ID, title, total rating count and star breakdown.
- For each review visible on the page: its review ID, star rating, title and text, date, whether it is a verified purchase, the product variant, and its helpful-vote count.
It does not read reviewer names or profiles, your Amazon account, your orders, your cart, or any other website.
What is sent, where, and why

What we store and for how long
- Review text: not stored. It is discarded after scoring.
- Product scores: the grade, reasons, label breakdown and the IDs of the reviews analysed, shared by all users so the same product isn't analysed twice. Deleted after 90 days.
- Usage records: which products an install ID checked in a given month. Deleted after 13 months.
- Install rate-limit records: hashed IPs, deleted after 2 days.
What we never do
- Sell or rent data, or share it for advertising.
- Track your browsing or build a profile of you.
- Use the data for anything other than producing review scores.
- Run code that we download after install. All extension code ships in the package reviewed by the browser's store.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts our server and database. TypeSafe AI classifies review text. They process data only to provide those services to us.
Your rights (including GDPR and CCPA)
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the feature you installed. You can stop all collection at any time by uninstalling the extension. Because we don't know who you are, we can't link stored records to you by name, and everything we keep is deleted on the schedule above. Children
Review Check is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Material changes will be noted in the extension's store listing.
